The Early Reviews: On Tour With Peggy Sue and the Pictures August 2008

Peggy Sue @ The Social 5th August 2008

This was the first out of four dates by Peggy Sue. The Pirates were no longer with them for this four date tour of London. They were backed by Left With Pictures. Well it was a good gig and good support by Exlovers, Derek Meins and Thomas Tantrum.

The Social is such a nice venue as the gigs take place on the bottom floor. The final 4 songs were the songs that appear on the Body Parts EP.

Peggy Sue @ The Enterprise 6th August 2008

The Enterprise, another small and intimate venue. Today support was from Liz Green and Jay Jay Pistolet. Both were great especially Liz Green.

Well Peggy Sues set was exactly the same as the last night apart from another song Psycho which was played at the end during the last 4 EP songs.

Even though Katy said it was a bit of a shambles with problems with equipment etc I enjoyed the gig. The stage was so small!!

Peggy Sue @ Betsey Trotwood 8th August 2008

The final date of the Peggy Sue tour. This venue was really small. It was like where it took place was in the Cellar of the pub.

Support came from Stuart James, Left With Pictures who had their own set and Bobby McGees.

Peggy Sues set was exactly the same as the Wednesday at The Enterprise. This time they did not make a set list as they had done it the past three days so they could remember it.

After the final song they did a encore which was Rex Manning. After they had finished I met Katy and Rosa who I met at the previous gigs before the gig started. They both signed the EP for me then I made my way home. Had to get the tube back as I missed the last overground train.
